[Letter from Horatio Alger, Sr. to Rev. Stephen A. Barnard, Willsboro, Essex Co., New York] 1866 Jan. 19.

In his letter from S. Natick, H. Alger, Sr. writes that his son James' wife and two children from California have been with them for a long stay. He writes that his son Horatio "is here now for a few days", that Paul Prescott's charge was published in the fall in 2 editions of 1,000 copies each, and that Horatio is in the 2nd year of his ministry at Brewster. He also writes about his own work as a minister, his wife's ill health and mutual acquaintances.
